You type, Bolt replies, and when it needs to act on your computer it emits a command that the console actually runs and feeds back the real output. That's the core trick: Bolt can list, read, write and edit files, or run shell commands, and it never invents the result.
Around that: a working directory you can change with /cd, an ask-before-acting mode that's on by default with /auto to bypass it, session persistence so a restart picks up the same conversation, /new to start fresh, and file delivery — anything Bolt queues for you downloads on demand with /files.
Config is a plain .env sitting next to the executable, so you can point it at a different server or swap your API key without rebuilding. The Windows build is a PyInstaller onedir bundle with the full Qt runtime included — unzip, edit the .env, run the exe.Downloads
